Interior Sketch Course

(4 days course)

Highlight

Compared to computer drawing, interior sketching is a faster communication tool for designers to unveil their ideas to their colleagues and clients. This course focuses on spatial perception, object proportions and the drawing methods of interior scenes.

Course Details

The course consists of four lessons (2.5 hours each lesson, 10 hours in total) and one 2.5-hour sharing workshop. This course is suitable for all levels of students. Students will be introduced to basic rules of furniture and interior design sketch such as theory of perspective, object proportions and sketching procedures in a systematic way. Exercises will be assigned to enhance students’ sense of space and the ability to visualise conceptual thinking in a professional presentable standard.

The course will cover the following topics:

  • 1 and 2 points perspective drawing

  • Overview of shapes and form

  • Different types of line drawing

  • Drawing composition

  • Interior sketch procedures

  • Furniture sketch procedures

  • Interior spatial perception

Since this course does not offer any free make-up class, a 2.5-hour sharing workshop is set for complementary learning. This workshop aims to provide a chance for students to revise the topics for better understanding. And in case that any students have been absent or cannot catch up on some topics, this workshop is offered for enquiries. Students can also bring their art work for further enhancement. For those who may be interested in other courses, a brief introduction of each course will be provided in this workshop.
