Marker Painting Course

Highlight

Marker, an alcohol-based medium with its fast drying characteristic, is a core medium to do rendering for architecture, interior, landscape, product, fashion and character sketches. This course focuses on the application of the flat fill marker techniques for a smooth and fast rendering.

Course Details 

This course is suitable for all levels of students, especially those who want to develop skills in an educational or work setting. Students will learn about the color system for colours selection in layering and to create the illusion of depth and texture with the blending techniques. This course will also introduce mixed-media techniques for soft and hard highlights. 

 

This course will cover the following topics:

  • Understanding colour coding system for colour expression in rendering

  • Techniques to create glossy and matte surfaces

  • Techniques to create a smoother end

  • Techniques to create textures with different brush strokes

  • Mixed-media techniques to create soft and hard highlights

  • Blending techniques to create 3D images

  • Practices on rendering complex and organic objects

A4-size sketch book (available for sale in Kwong.Art)

HB pencil, 168 & 216 colour markers (supplied by Kwong.Art for lesson use)

Each class includes one free makeup class. Students can register online, but rescheduling or cancellation is not allowed. The makeup class must be completed within 45 days of the first class. If you want to cancel the paid course, please request cancellation at least 30 days before the start of the first class, or no refund will be given. If cancellation is made 30 days before the start of the first class, a 50% refund will be given; if cancellation is made within 1-30 days of the start of the first class, a 25% refund will be given. No course cancellation or refund will be accepted after the start of the first class. Kwong.Art reserves the right to cancel the course. Notification of course cancellation will be sent 2 days before the start of the class, and a full refund will be given.
