Urban Sketch Course

(4 days course)

Highlight

The techniques in this urban sketching course can be used in street sketching and architectural design. This course starts with basic theories of proportion and perspectives. The learning process is facilitated with group discussions and individual exercises that focus on composition analysis and applications in architectural drawings.

Course Details 

The course which consists of four lessons (2.5 hours each lesson, 10 hours in total) is suitable for all levels of students to study the fundamental theory of perspective, geometric shapes, and the approach of sketching in a systematic way. The course is structured with notes, demonstrations, individual and group critiques on exercises. This course aims to help students develop a better sense of accuracy of proportions and forms of architecture. 

 

The course will cover the following topics:

  • 1, 2 and 3 points perspective drawing

  • Overview of shapes and forms

  • Different types of line drawing

  • Drawing composition

  • Drawing of bokeh effects

  • Drawing facade detail 

  • Urban sketch procedures

Note:

  • The validity period for PASS starts from the date of the first reservation and lasts for 60 days.

  • Reservations must be made under the "same name" for five times.

  • If you find that you cannot attend the class as scheduled after making a reservation, please cancel at least three days before the start of the class. Otherwise, it will be considered absent and one class will be deducted. In addition, the number of class cancellations is limited to three times. 【Details of self-cancellation】

  • If a class is canceled due to uncontrollable circumstances (such as typhoon signal no. 8), it will be handled separately. However, participants need to re-register for other class times.

  • Within three days before the start of the class, if there are still available spots, you can register, but you cannot cancel the already registered reservation.

  • The class schedule is updated twice a month (on the 1st and 15th of each month). 【Check the available reservation schedule】

Stationeries Required

A4-size sketch book (available for sale in Kwong.Art)

HB pencil, ruler, eraser (supplied by Kwong.Art for lesson use)

Fee

  • New students : HK$2080 for 5 sessions (2.5 hours per session)

  • Current students : HK$1880 for 5 sessions (2.5 hours per session)

  • Note: An additional HK$200 fee is required for the 5-session marker class.

Terms & Conditions:

The 5-sessions ART PASS does not offer makeup classes, and the date and time of the first class cannot be changed or canceled after registration. If you wish to cancel the paid course, please request cancellation at least 30 days before the start of the first class, otherwise, no refund will be provided. If cancellation is made at least 30 days before the start of the first class, 50% of the payment can be refunded, and if canceled within 1-30 days of the start of the first class, 25% of the payment can be refunded. No course cancellations or refunds will be accepted after the start of the first class. Kwong.Art reserves the right to cancel courses, and a full refund will be provided in such cases. Notification of course cancellations will be sent out 2 days before the start of the class.
